What kind of lithium oxide has mineral processing value

Lithium oxide (Li2O) is an important lithium compound widely used in various industrial applications such as the production of glass, ceramics and lithium-ion batteries. Lithium oxide is usually made by roasting spodumene, a lithium-containing mineral, at high temperatures.

In terms of beneficiation value, spodumene is the main source of lithium and its concentrates typically contain 5-8% lithium oxide. Therefore, the higher the concentration of lithium oxide in the concentrate, the more valuable it will be for beneficiation purposes.
