The platinum can also be precipitated as ammonium chloroplatinate with ammonium chloride, and then neutralized with ammonia to pH 8-10 is used to hydrolyze base metals, and then acidified with hydrochloric acid to pH 1, palladium is precipitated as dichlorodiamine palladium.
