Different types of tungsten ore dressing methods are different. Due to weathering, the physical properties of tungsten ore have undergone complex changes, resulting in great difficulty in subsequent dressing and low separation efficiency.
When the density difference between coarse-grained embedded scheelite and gangue minerals is large, the gravity separation method can generally achieve better separation results; while for fine-grained embedded scheelite, flotation method is generally used, using combined process flow, combined reagents and new flotation equipment, etc., which can not only improve the grade and recovery rate of scheelite concentrate, but also efficiently recover the co-associated valuable metals in scheelite, thereby improving economic benefits.
The grade of weathered tungsten ore becomes lower, and it is embedded in a large amount of ore mud, which is prone to mudification, resulting in poor mineral surface activity, which seriously affects the recovery of tungsten ore.
For weathered tungsten ore with an embedded particle size of less than 10 microns, shear flocculation stirring and high-speed jet pre-mineralization treatment technology are used to make the fine weathered tungsten ore bridge under the action of the collector, thereby achieving efficient flotation of fine weathered tungsten ore.
Flotation column is also a good choice for processing fine weathered tungsten ore. The principle of microbubble flotation column is that microbubbles can increase the collision probability between bubbles and minerals, thereby increasing the flotation recovery rate. In weathered tungsten beneficiation, flotation column is also a good choice.
In summary, the grade of weathered tungsten ore becomes lower, the particle size is fine and it is easy to become muddy. It is difficult for traditional flotation methods to obtain ideal flotation effects. In the sorting process, making full use of the differences in the properties of minerals, using advanced pretreatment methods and new high-efficiency equipment, and developing high-efficiency collectors in a targeted manner are important means to improve the recovery of weathered tungsten ore.
