Collophosite is a common name for medium and low-grade sedimentary phosphorites, mostly "poor and fine". This type of phosphate rock is a kind of phosphate mineral, which is often cemented together with fine particles such as dolomite carbonate, siliceous matter, and argillaceous minerals. The content of silicon and magnesium is high, and it is difficult to sort. At present, the common flotation methods are mainly forward flotation, single reverse flotation, forward-reverse flotation, reverse-positive flotation and double reverse flotation processes.

1. Collophosite positive flotation process

The collophosite positive flotation is to add a specific inhibitor to the dissociated pulp to suppress the gangue, and then add a specific collector to make the collophanite hydrophobic, and flotation to separate the phosphate under the action of the foaming agent mineral.

This method is mainly suitable for siliceous phosphate rock and sedimentary metamorphic siliceous-calcium apatite. It is difficult to separate the calcium-silicate phosphate rock with high carbonate gangue minerals. It is easy to cause problems such as high foam viscosity, difficult settlement of concentrate, and high content of impurities such as calcium and magnesium.

2. Collophosite reverse flotation process

Collophosite reverse flotation generally uses sulfuric acid or phosphoric acid as the slurry pH adjuster and phosphate mineral inhibitor, and then uses a cationic collector to float the silicate gangue minerals into the foam product in a weakly acidic medium , so as to obtain the phosphorous concentrate product in the flotation tank.

This method is mostly suitable for the flotation separation of aluminosilicate ores such as quartz, feldspar and non-ferrous metal oxide ores.

3. Colloidal forward-reverse flotation process

Collophosite forward-reverse flotation is to first use anion collector and gangue mineral inhibitor to positively float phosphorus minerals, and then use cationic collector and silicate inhibitor to reverse flotation from phosphorus concentrate Silicate mineral (MgO impurity), the product in the tank is phosphorous concentrate.

This method is mainly suitable for processing calcium-magnesium mixed collophosite with high silicate content.

4. Reverse-direct flotation process of collophosite

Colloidite reverse-positive flotation is to use cationic collectors and silicate mineral inhibitors to reverse flotation silicate minerals, and then use anion collectors and silicate gangue mineral inhibitors to positively float Phosphorous minerals.

This process method is mainly suitable for mixed collophanite with high carbonate content.

5. Colloidal double reverse flotation process

Collophosite double reverse flotation generally uses fatty acid salts as collectors for carbonate reverse flotation, enriches dolomite-like gangue minerals in the foam, and then uses cationic collectors as siliceous mineral reverse flotation catch

This method is mostly suitable for processing high-silicon-magnesium-type mixed phosphorites (such as dolomite and quartz-like gangue, etc.)
